She always told me I’d be something,
That I’d become something when I’m older.
Well, yes;
And it is greater than anything she ever imagined…
But beyond anything she can understand.
You saw the greatness latent within me, yes;
But those at the base of Everest are blind to its peak, despite their marveling at its obviously colossal stature.
How can I explain to you what I saw up there if you’ve never been yourself?
Just because the greatness is not being channeled how you expected, does not mean it is being squandered. (As a matter of fact, if it were being channeled how you expected, I believe that would be the only means for it to be squandered.)
The Moon still exists, even when she is New — invisible to the eye, yet still ruling the tides —
Uranus and Neptune still reign supreme their respective Great Blues, Sky and Sea, despite their covert natures —
Just because you cannot see the depths of the sea, does not mean 95% of it isn’t unexplored. The unknown portion is supreme —
Remember this when you wonder where my greatness went.
You thought I’d be a millionaire, a billionaire even —
The next Steve Jobs —
Well, I bit from the apple, indeed,
And I was cast from the familial garden.
I learned the difference between poor man’s gold and rich man’s gold.
I’ve been told that chains of gold are still chains.
I’ve also been told that there is gold latent in lead.
So, when you see me,
Desolate, seemingly impoverished,
Leaden and tattered,
Discarded,
Know that you are being deceived —
For true gold resides inside —
By trading my Earthly abundance,
I’ve become richer beyond my wildest dreams —
My gold becomes spiritual, subtle, numinous —
Our earthly Kingdom is a mirror image of the Heavenly kingdom —
The image reverses —
Those at the top of the earthly hierarchy, are slaves beneath the celestial crown.
The meek really do inherit the Earth,
The heavenly royal family born in barns, in mangers filled with hay, surrounded by livestock.
My seeming fall from grace was really an ascent.
