And how I’ve learned
that life is about feeling
and that every action has an equal and opposite reaction
So it requires intelligent foresight
to know
that embracing grief
Is the act of planting seeds
of future ecstasy
It takes intelligence to know
That the heart must be tended to
Like the Earth
That life’s shittiness will make your spirit fertile
great storms precede superblooms
That death is part of the Mother and her seasons
That, like Luna,
we move in cycles and shed skin
So the serpents that have been
appearing in my waking dreams
Come as kin
To let me know that,
Right now,
I am like them
And they remind me
That me
embracing this process
Will make me
unrecognizable
So I shed my skin
I shed my skin
And I shed the past
And all it held
For I need not be burdened, no.
…
Every piece of wisdom I gained
Every single lesson I learned
Every formative experience
An entire year
Is a seed
And it is up to me
To plant it
And tend to it
And let it bloom
For its fruits await
…
And I eat of them now,
And share with those I love.
