And after a descent into a valley
Where I did find relics and treasures
to take with me on the journey ahead
I ascend up that hill.
my legs moan and groan
With the weight of the climb.
But now,
The view from the top,
Where I now sit,
Before yet another journey begins,
Fills me with joy,
With perspective —
With the childlike eternal joy,
Of the Sun, eternal youth.
Pure laughter
Pure joy
Pure, exuberant life.
I sit in lotus at the peak,
And view a great expanse before me
My own life
The rising Sun before me
With so much possibility and promise
Green pastures and endless fields
And a million different directions to run
And with a smile I cry
For as the Sun rises
For,
Listen closely,
As the Sun rises,
Does the ice melt
And the waters fall
And I smile.
I just smile
