i, the tyrant

i lost myself

in sanity,

i found myself

in the most beautiful

insanity.

the strangest madness

overtook me.

that madness

was me.

the madness

was the rebellion

of my own psyche.

the revolution, the resistance,

it carried the flame of truth.

i, the tyrant,

willingly surrendered

when they stormed

my throne room.

i knew this day would come,

i knew the dam would break.

i did not fight the waters

when they swept me away.

carry me out to sea,

carry me out to see

all i’ve forgotten.
